FRANK BLACK (Lance Henriksen)
Frank was a retired FBI agent who specialized in criminal profiling -- a profession he excelled at due to his unique ability to "see inside the mind of a killer." After moving to Seattle with his wife Catherine and daughter Jordan, he offered his services to the local police department via the Millennium Group, an organization that believed pre-millennial fever was responsible for the increase in crime. |
His submersion into the Group led to a painful separation from Catherine and the realization that his employers were dangerous people who would eventually unleash a deadly plague that would kill both his wife, Catherine, and friend, Lara Means.
Following Catherine's death, Frank and Jordan relocated to Falls Church, Virginia, where he resumed work for the FBI and was teamed with the inexperienced Emma Hollis. She would aid his investigations into the Group and their heinous crimes. However, their strong, trusting relationship was soon shattered when Emma accepted membership with the Group.
At the same time, Frank received a mysterious folder of information that sparked his unexpected departure from Falls Church. He and Jordan spent five weeks on the run, staying at motels across Maryland, before deciding to stay with Tom and Helen Black in Baltimore.
Frank now works as freelance crime consultant, using contacts provided by Ryan Frost, an ex-Group candidate like himself. Together, they are determined to prevent the Group who are orchestrating "an apolcaypse of their own creation."
 |
JORDAN BLACK (Britney Tiplady)
Jordan is the bright and intuitive daughter of Frank Black who harbors a "gift" similar to her father's, but much more ambigious. She is Frank's only source of true happiness and he is terribly afraid of losing her. |
 |
THOMAS BLACK (Philip Anglim)
Frank's younger brother, he lives with his wife (Helen) and 3-year-old son (Charlie) in Baltimore. Tom is the "scholar sibling" and is a respected professor of physics at the University of Baltimore. |
 |
HELEN BLACK (Liz Bryson)
Helen has been married to Thomas Black for six years and has since retired from her nursing career to become a full-time mother to their son, Charlie |
RYAN FROST
After being dismissed from the Los Angeles Police Department (where he had served for ten years), Frost was enrolled as a candidate in the Millennium Group and began freelancing across the Northwest, primarily Vancouver. His employment with the Group lasted five months before he was inexplicably fired in May of 1998.
He now lives in Baltimore with girlfriend Cindy Milton and works with local police forces in Maryland and Virginia as a private investigator. On July 2nd, a chance meeting with Frank Black would lead to his involvement in a crusade to expose the shady organization and, perhaps, redeem it.
 |
EMMA HOLLIS (Klea Scott)
The respected, independent, ambitious young Bureau Agent who formed a close relationship with Frank Black -- and then turned her back on him to join the Millennium Group. The Group, who subsequently cured her father of the Altzheimers, assigns Emma cases that hold a special interest for them, but are reluctant to say why. |
 |
KEN McGREEVEY (Anthony Harrison)
A former member of the FBI's Critical Incident Response Team, he is scheduled to replace Andy McClaren who will retire in November of 1999. Current, McGreevey is Agent-In-Charge of CIRT and is parterned with Emma Hollis. |
 |
ANDY McCLAREN (Stephen E. Miller)
Assistant Director McClaren is an old friend and colleague of Frank's from his FBI days and was instrumental in teaming Emma Hollis with the expert profiler who had returned to the area in mid-1998. It's unclear whether or not his skepticism concerning Frank's accusations of the Millennium Group are thruthful... or if he is under their influence. |
 |
CAROL FINLEY (Judith Maxie)
Finley is a prominent member of the Millennium Group, within the Roosters faction. She has been assigned as Patron to Emma Hollis (a role Peter Watts provided for Frank) and uses her Forensic and Pathologist skills to assist in investigations. |
 |
THE ELDER (Matthew Walker)
The Elder is the second-in-command of the Millennium Group, answering only to The Old Man. But while The Old Man tends to be a more "spiritual" figurehead for the Group, it's The Elder who handles its day-to-day affairs. The current Elder was known as The Inquisitor prior to the promotion of his predecessor [below]. |
 |
THE OLD MAN (Philip Baker Hall)
Although the leader of the Millennium Group, he spends the majority of his time inside a dilapidated shack on the outskirts of the town Bucksnort. The shack itself is surrounded by a circle of small obelisks that protects it from the advances of malevolent, wild dogs... who have lately prevented him from leaving. He was promoted to this position following the death of the previous Old Man who died at the hands of Odessa hitman Helmut Gunsche. |
 |
MABIUS (Bob Wilde)
A mysterious member of the Millennium Group, Mabius had once been called upon to solve threatening situations -- and did so with lethal force. However, it's becoming increasingly apparent they are now taking orders from him. |
 |
BLAYLOCK (Michael Tiernan)
Absolutely loyal to the Millennium Group, Blaylock follows their express wishes, which include: surveillance, theft, and assassination. |
